This insulated coat is made with Filson's signature Tin Cloth that earned its reputation for outstanding weather resistance and durability in the rain-soaked forests of the Pacific Northwest. This heavily waxed canvas features an exceptionally tight weave that’s virtually impenetrable to briars and thorns, and withstands the abuse of constant abrasion. The PrimaLoft® insulation was developed when the U.S. Army needed a warm solution that could mimic goose down’s light weight and packability, and also insulate when wet. PrimaLoft's ultrafine polyester fibers maintain their loft when wet, retaining 98% of their heat-trapping ability. Together, these legendary materials form a layer of protection as tough and warm as can be made.
