The Elko was already one of the better minimalist pocket knives you could clip to your keys – a Sandvik 12C27 blade, a pry bar that moonlights as a bottle opener and screwdriver, the whole thing weighing 27g. The James Brand have now gone back and sharpened every detail. The new version has a softer handle profile with a dot-matrix texture for a more confident grip, a cleaner blade grind, and more refined hardware and finish across all four colourways – ranging from the understated Grove/Stainless olive and polished steel through to the all-black stealth of Black/Black. Same useful tool underneath, more considered in every detail on top.
