The SOTO story began over 40 years ago, with founder Hajime Yamamoto. He was frustrated with existing burners that required several minutes to preheat. Yamamoto wanted a strong blue flame in seconds. To realise this vision, he assembled a team of the most creative and innovative engineering minds in the industry and soon, the Shinfuji Torch Lamp was born. He soon adapted the concept from industrial use to the outdoor market, and today SOTO stoves are renowned for their fast-functioning and ultra-reliable performance, in biting cold or howling wind.
