As you might have guessed from its name, the city was America’s undisputed glove-making capital. The company grew steadily throughout the decades before being eventually acquired by the Japanese Swany Corporation in the 1980s.
Building on Elmer’s legacy of fine craftsmanship, Swany moved the brand into the performance sportswear market, introducing technical fabrics and innovative designs.
