For a Pacific Northwest workwear brand that specialises in heavy-duty stuff like waxed canvas and mackinaw wool, Filson's 'Feather Cloth' is a bit of an anomaly. Designed for safaris, fishing trips and other hot weather adventures, the special 3oz cotton fabric is lightweight and quick drying but incredibly strong thanks to its very tight weave. It's also been pre-washed for a super-soft feel. Like it's heavier-weight counterparts, this long-sleeved shirt is designed for action, with two handy chest pockets and a centre-back box pleat for ease of movement. It's cut roomy through the torso, and because they're a US brand, the shirts can sometimes come up a little large – Filson recommends checking dimensions carefully and sizing down if needs be.
