A Filson Tin Cloth jacket is the sort of thing you'll only ever buy once, and this is one of the most versatile models we've seen – combining the weather-resistance of Filson’s more traditional Tin Cloth shells with the comfort and functionality of a chore coat. It's a shorter, trucker-style jacket, cut roomy for layering and with a lightweight canvas Cover Cloth lining in the torso and polyester lining in the arms. We're especially taken with the flannel-lined pockets and the cosy wool facing on the collar. If you haven't come across Tin Cloth before, it's a tough cotton canvas duck fabric that's been impregnated with waterproof paraffin wax – kind of like a super-heavyweight Barbour. It was designed for hard use in the logging camps of the Pacific Northwest, and rather like leather, the worst it will ever look is the day you buy it.
