The Tempest series is Osprey's bestselling line of women’s multi-activity daypacks, refined and enhanced over the years to keep them consistently at the top of their game. Size-wise, this 33-litre version sits in the middle of the range. It's a lightweight top-loader for those more demanding adventures where you might need to carry a bit more gear. Whatever your activity of choice, the Tempest’s got plenty of space for tools-of-the-trade – with tuck-away ice axe attachment, an external sleeve for a hydration bladder, and Osprey's much-loved 'stow-on-the-go' quick stash system for your trekking poles. Aside from the main compartment, you've also got a variety of external pockets, including a roomy stretch mesh one on the front. For our money, the big plus point of the Tempest 33 is the carrying comfort. Like the other packs in the Tempest series, it uses Osprey's breathable Airscape mesh-and-foam backpanel, teamed with a close-fitting adjustable harness system, padded hipbelt and extra-flexible BioStretch seams for free movement. It’s also available in a men’s fit as the Talon 33.

The Osprey story started in California in the 1970s, with one man, a sewing machine and a vision to make the world’s best outdoor packs. Today, it’s one of the most recognisable rucksack brands.
All of Osprey's packs share the same twin hallmarks of fit and comfort. In fact, Osprey was an early adopter of breathable mesh, ergonomic hip-belts and packs designed specifically to fit women. Breathable back panels are still a feature of all their packs, and all except their most lightweight bags come with adjustable back-lengths for a perfect fit.
And in a world where outdoor enthusiasts are increasingly conscious of our environmental impact, many Osprey packs are made from durable recycled fabrics, while all feature PFC-free water-repellent coatings.
