The Edison light stick from Barebones looks like something out of a retro-futuristic videogame – but it's also remarkably practical in the outdoors. The vintage-inspired twirly LED rope light makes it a great mini-lantern or tent lamp, while the whiter torch bulb works well as an emergency flashlight. You can stand it on its end or hang it from the little strap. It charges through a standard USB-C cable, and there's also a handy USB-C output that lets you juice your phone from the light stick in an emergency. For such a diddy little light, the battery life is superb too, especially since it's got seven different lighting modes to help you balance power usage and ambience. On the most powerful lantern setting, you'll get around 4.5 hours, while using it as a torch in low-power mode gives you a whopping 70 hours of illumination.
