The Peak Design Roller Pro isn’t just another bit of premium luggage. It’s a reimagining of how travel gear should work — smart, modular, built to last, and a pleasure to use. Designed with the same obsessive attention to detail that’s made Peak Design a cult favourite of anyone with a pair of shoulders, this is their long-awaited leap into travel. And it’s been worth the wait. At first glance, it sits in the sweet spot between a hardshell and softshell, offering all the protection of the former with the flexibility, access and feature set of the latter. But look closer, and you’ll start to spot the real innovation: a custom-built handle system engineered for better control, less rattling, and more internal space. A drawbridge-style clamshell opening that gives you proper access on the go, without splitting your kit in half like traditional luggage. A dedicated outer pocket for daily essentials. A slick laptop sleeve you can grab and stow in a second. It’s all designed to make travel smoother: No fiddling, no digging around — just quick, intuitive access to what you need, when you need it. And because it’s part of Peak Design’s legendary ecosystem, it works seamlessly with their Packing Cubes, Camera Cubes and Tech Pouches — meaning you can customise your setup, dial in your organisation, and pack exactly the way you want. Yes, it’s a serious investment. But if you’re looking for the last piece of luggage you’ll ever need — something built to move the way you do — this is it.

Hands up who gets unreasonably excited about efficient and innovative ways to carry stuff? Those crafty, adaptable products that optimise space and arrange gear so that the thing you want is always right where you want it. Carryologists, we see you – and so do the folk at Peak Design.
Based in San Francisco, the bags, pouches and accessories that come out of Peak Design are proper marvels of form and function – streamlined, good-looking and impeccably organised. Founder Peter Dering launched his first product on Kickstarter in 2011, and the company still crowdfunds new lines rather than seeking outside investors – letting them take bigger risks and stay close to their customers. They love to tinker with their designs and they've absolutely nailed that feedback loop with real-world users.
And this urge to develop better stuff extends to the way they do business too. Dedicated to creative activism and social justice, Peak Design has full B Corp status, and as members of the 1% for the Planet scheme, they've donated over $4,600,000 to environmental causes since 2016. The brand even has its own dedicated supply chain sustainability manager, with responsibilities that include working with partner factories in Vietnam, China and the Philippines to negotiate fair pay and safe working conditions.
Serial award-winners at both product and company level, Peak Design were Carryology Brand of the Year 2020, with the judges noting that 'They really do it all, from excelling in product design, to sustainable business practices, social awareness and inclusivity.'
