You know those bags that look like they've wandered in from a different decade? The Velo-Sling Flex Cyber is exactly that – except it's brought all of Ortlieb's bombproof engineering with it. Cyber Pink aren't colours you see on many bike bags, which is precisely the point. If you're going to have something strapped to your handlebars or slung across your chest, it might as well turn a few heads.
The magnetic-mechanical closure is the real party trick here. That satisfying snap when the magnets find each other means you can seal the bag one-handed – perfect when you're holding your bike steady or carrying shopping in the other hand. The PU-coated nylon fabric and roll-top design keep everything properly waterproof, not just "light shower proof". Inside there's a zippered mesh compartment for the bits you'll actually need to find in a hurry.
Mounting uses O-straps rather than a bracket – quick to fit, works with most handlebar shapes, and you can detach the bag in seconds when you park up. The three-point strap keeps things stable when you're riding, and there's an integrated strap clamp on the detachable shoulder strap so it doesn't flap about whilst you're pedalling. Volume extension straps let you lash down extra kit or cinch things tight. It's the sort of bag that works just as well for the commute as it does for an overnight bikepacking trip where you've decided not to take it all too seriously.
Mount it using the included O-straps and foam spacers, with an extra rubber band to stop any wobbling on rough roads. The detachable shoulder strap stows neatly when you're riding, and there's a zippered inner pocket for your keys or wallet. Daisy chains on the outside let you lash down a jacket or secure the contents when you've overpacked (we've all been there). Whether it's the morning commute, weekend shopping, or a Saturday ride that turns into an all-dayer, the Velo-Sling adapts without complaint.

Life in the great outdoors is unpredictable, which is why it’s wise to be prepared. Basically, if your adventure goes from dry to downpour, you want your kit to stay safe and protected. Ortlieb’s durable, waterproof bike bags and backpacks are the ideal solution.
The first Ortlieb bag was invented in Germany in 1981, after founder Hartmut Ortlieb got back from a very wet bikepacking adventure in (you guessed it) Southern England. Inspired by tarpaulins he’d seen lashed on the truck beds of lorries, he fashioned a pair of bike panniers from red truck tarp, which he stitched at home on his mother’s sewing machine.
A year later he founded his own company, buoyed by early success and positive feedback from friends. In the following years, young Hartmut came up with a series of innovations that would define the modern drybag, using high frequency welded seams and roll-top closures. He even developed the first self-locking mounting system to attach panniers to bike frames.
Today, Ortlieb remains the first and most trusted choice for adventures and expeditions on land or sea – a brand name synonymous with waterproof protection and super-tough, outdoor-ready gear.
