Zip, clip and cinch

Why is it called a Zinch, you ask? Well, apart from sounding fun, it's short for zip and cinch. You just zip the top closed, clip it at each side and compress it down using the cinch straps. Simple, effective and streamlined. Ideal for work use, it's got padded slips for your laptop and documents, plus organisation pockets inside and out. Zipped side compartments on each side will take water-bottles or similar-sized items, and the Zinch is constructed in Osprey's high-tenacity nylon NanoTough fabric – which offers a seriously impressive combination of light weight, durability and water-resistance. At a relatively compact 22 litres, it's the sort of versatile little pack that you can use for commuting and also take on day hikes at the weekend.

  • The Osprey story started in California in the 1970s, with one man, a sewing machine and a vision to make the world’s best outdoor packs. Today, it’s one of the most recognisable rucksack brands.

All of Osprey's packs share the same twin hallmarks of fit and comfort. In fact, Osprey was an early adopter of breathable mesh, ergonomic hip-belts and packs designed specifically to fit women. Breathable back panels are still a feature of all their packs, and all except their most lightweight bags come with adjustable back-lengths for a perfect fit.

And in a world where outdoor enthusiasts are increasingly conscious of our environmental impact, many Osprey packs are made from durable recycled fabrics, while all feature PFC-free water-repellent coatings.
