The littlest brother in Osprey's Talon range of lightweight packs, the Talon 6 is a compact lumbar pack – also known in non-technical circles as a bum-bag or hip-pack. Perfect for nimble adventures with minimal kit, the main compartment has dual-zipped panel access, and you've also got a range of other quick-access storage options including a front panel zip pocket and hipbelt pockets. One of our biggest bugbears is hip-packs without water bottle slots (surely even the most minimalist hikers or runners are going to want a drink?), and fortunately the Talon 6 has two, complete with bungee retention straps. It's comfortable and highly adjustable, with compression straps to trim the load in.
