Founded by Dare Jennings, Deus started life as a custom motorbike workshop and coffee house in the Sydney suburb of Camperdown. The radical idea? Instead of shoehorning people into outdoor tribes – bikers, surfers, skaters, cyclists or whatever – why not just celebrate whatever gets you fired up? Their workshop soon transformed into a ‘run-what-you-brung’ social and creative space, known locally as the ‘Temple of Enthusiasm’.

From those early days of engine oil, freshly brewed coffee and dawn raids on the Pacific Ocean, Deus has grown into a global phenomenon.
