Nobody wants to be weighed down in the wilderness – after all, a heavy pack makes for an unhappy hiker. But access to clean water is pretty much essential when you’re spending an extended period in the back of beyond. What’s the solution, apart from bulky and heavy multi-stage water filters? Step forward, LifeStraw’s Peak Series Squeeze Bottle. It’s a re-engineered version of the older LifeStraw Flex, with a new filter membrane for improved flow rate, and a smart seal mouthpiece to prevent leakage. Made from durable materials, the ultralight and collapsible design comes in 650ml or 1-litre sizes. They’re ideal for ‘fast and light’ trips, whether you’re trail running, hiking or backpacking. It’s also extremely versatile. Use it as a filter bottle, a straw filter, a squeeze system to fill other receptacles or connect it to other Peak Series systems.
