Oru's lightest kayak just got a lot more comfortable. The Lake Sport is the upgraded version of their entry-level Lake – same flat hull, same widest-in-the-range cockpit, same extraordinary two-minute assembly where you unfold, click three buckles and you're done – but with an adjustable high seat back, footrest, modular floorboard, and a seat that can be upgraded with a gel cushion. It's also skeg-compatible for better tracking on longer paddles. At 8.2 kg it's ludicrously light, and like all Oru kayaks, it’s mind-blowingly packable – fold it down, chuck it in the car boot or slide it under the sofa for storage. Built from the same custom polypropylene as Oru's expedition-grade kayaks, it's a serious bit of engineering disguised as a beginner-friendly fun boat.

Lightweight and extraordinarily strong. They're created from 5mm double-layered, custom-extruded polypropylene with a 10-year UV treatment. Translation? Oru Kayak boats are puncture + abrasion resistant and built to last. With proper care, they can withstand sliding over rocks, bumping into obstacles, and folding up tens of thousands of times.
The trouble with boating is the effort it takes to get on and off the water, with all the hassle of roof racks, trailers, garages, lifting, pumping and rigging. Oru’s extraordinary folding kayaks strip away all of that. Wildly popular with city-slickers, van-lifers and everyone in-between, they pack down to the size of a small suitcase and with some models you can be on the water in less than five minutes.
