The trouble with most backpacks is that they're either too big or too small. Too much volume for a day out, not quite enough when you're staying over. The Elliker Buckden solves this with the oldest trick in the outdoor carry playbook – the roll top – and does it brilliantly. Roll it down and you've got a taut, trim 24-litre daypack. Unroll it and there's 35 litres waiting. Same 760g weight either way, same waterproof PU-coated 100% recycled 600D polyester shell. The front shove pocket just below the roll gives you quick access without committing to the whole main compartment, which makes it genuinely useful for fast, on-the-move trips. The padded laptop sleeve (up to 16-inch Apple MacBook) is accessed via an external side zip, there are water bottle pockets, and elastic shockcord lets you strap on layers or camping extras when the pack is full but the day isn't over. Multiple internal pockets keep things from disappearing to the bottom. If you only had one bag – for the train, the trail and the overnight stop – the Buckden would be a very sensible answer.
There's a corner of West Yorkshire where woodland gives way to open fields and the air smells like the good stuff. Elliker takes its name from exactly that spot: Elliker Fields, a local wildlife site that's been quietly inspiring its creators ever since the brand started out. And that connection to real, accessible British nature is baked into everything they make.
The idea is simple: get outside more, and carry the right kit when you do. Elliker builds lightweight, functional bags from 100% recycled polyester – GRS certified, waterproof, and genuinely built for the weather this country tends to throw at you. Every product is designed to make the gap between sofa and trail a little smaller, whether that's a no-fuss roll-top rucksack for the morning commute or a compact sling bag that works just as hard at a weekend market as it does halfway up a dale. They donate 1% of profits to UK Wildlife Trusts too, which feels like the right kind of thing to do when your entire brand is named after a patch of wildlife habitat.
Functional, considered, and made for the outdoors – just like the Yorkshire landscape that inspired it all.
For SS26, Elliker also introduces a headline collaboration with Manchester outdoor-culture pioneers Hikerdelic – a trio of technically upgraded bags that bring Hikerdelic's iconic grid-patterned ripstop aesthetic and trail-to-rave sensibility to Elliker's already-capable foundations. Where Elliker builds the function, Hikerdelic adds the character.
