The Nomads Kitchen

Travel is a wonderful thing. It expands your horizons, creates life-long memories, builds incredible connections, and just makes you an all-round better person. But it often comes with a few challenges along the way too. Like being stuck in a foreign city, with little grasp of the language, trying to source ingredients so you can make the ‘amazing meal’ you somewhat boastfully promised your new friends back at the hostel. This is what happened to Will, founder of the Nomad’s Kitchen, in 2017, having landed in the bustling but baffling city of Medellin, Colombia.

After having to concede defeat and sheepishly serving up a bland mix of plain rice, veggies and chicken, he vowed never to be without a few essential herbs and spices again. His idea? To create a ‘portable kitchen’, a packable stash of flavours for nomads everywhere – designed to pep up any meal eaten on the hoof, in camp or on the road.

Refillable and reusable, these compact cooking sets housed in sturdy zippered hard cases are perfect for backpacking, wild camping, base camps and vanlife alike.
