Get that warm glow

Maybe it’s because it keeps you so warm and dry that this waterproof jacket is named after the Tibetan word for ‘sun’. Made from Sherpa’s own Sukatec® fabric, the new Nima jacket is waterproof, wind-resistant and durable, with adjustable hem and cuffs to keep that precious body heat where you want it – near your body. It’s also breathable and lightweight with pit zips and mesh lined pockets to help keep you cool on those annoying days when it’s warm but wet or when you’re working up a sweat on a long trek. 99% of their Spring and Summer 2022 collection contains sustainable raw materials and this one is 100% polyester, so when it eventually dies, it can be recycled all over again. AND for every item you buy, Sherpa fund a day of education for a child in Nepal – so it’s warming for the heart too. Toasty.

Sherpas are the unsung heroes of Himalayan expeditions. It is the Sherpas who establish the climbers’ camps, carry the loads and set the fixed ropes to the summit. Sherpa Adventure Gear was established in 2003 to pay tribute to these high-altitude heroes. But it is more than just a brand name. This is high-quality outdoor and lifestyle clothing with authentic Himalayan heritage. The company is entirely Sherpa-owned, with firm roots in Nepal, where the overwhelming majority of its products are all designed, developed and manufactured – providing local training and employment for hundreds of people. In addition, the brand is committed to educating the next generation of Nepal’s children – by building libraries and renovating classrooms, training teachers and school staff, and developing and distributing schoolbooks and resources. In fact, every bit of Sherpa gear you buy funds a school day for a child in Nepal. So, this is not just beautifully made stuff, it’s also kit with a conscience. Namaste.
