Bright and warm, that’s how we like our weather and, if the sky can’t quite manage that, it’s how we want our jackets. This one from Cotopaxi, is pretty spot on. It’s lightweight, weather-resistant and stuffed with recycled polyester insulation to keep you cosy at your core. Polyester doesn’t sound like the snuggliest thing but it’s exceptional in damp, Northern European climates. Whereas down can collapse when wet, losing all of its insulative power, polyester stays afloat, keeping you warm even when it’s raining. And then there’s the colour, which is a patchwork of rainbow bright perfection on one side, and a simple quilted colour on the other. Yep, it’s reversible.
