Slouchy style; supersoft feel; sustainable fabric. Yes, yes, yes

New to prAna’s Cozy Up Collection, the Barmsee tank is made to be messed with. Layer it under a long wool coat in winter, over a long sleeve top in autumn or wear on its own on balmy, sunny days. This is sporty/street style with pyjama level comfort. Made from Cardiff fabric, whose chief component is hemp, a superhero material with multiple strengths: it’s light, breathable, temperature regulating, odour resistant and durable. Plus, it uses a portion of the water cotton requires and growing it replenishes the soil, removing toxins. Then there’s recycled polyester and TENCEL™ Lyocell, derived from trees, for softness, comfort and drapability. More than the staple tank top, this features a slouchy cowl neck for ultimate chillin’ vibes

  • The need for shorts that offered supreme comfort and mobility was the starting point for PrAna, the California brand founded in 1992 by husband-and-wife team Beaver and Pam Theodosakis. Working out of a small garage in the coastal city of Carlsbad, the duo set out on a journey to make stylish and functional activewear. But there was a higher purpose too – namely, respect for the planet and its people. From the outset, they committed to sustainability and lessening the environmental impact of everything they made.

It was an ethos rooted in the realisation that everything is connected. This concept was encapsulated in the name that Beaver and Pam chose for their brand, prana. It’s a Sanskrit word that literally translates as ‘breath’, but which refers to the universal energy that flows within and among us, connecting us with all other living beings. So, for PrAna, what you wear matters. It matters firstly because clothing that gives you the freedom to move inspires you to chase adventures and stay active. But secondly, it matters because sustainable clothing lessens our impact on the planet. It’s the right thing to do – and the right thing to wear.

I used it for a workout but it could go under as layer or by itself on a casual outing
