Mitten-gloves for millennials

When it comes to keeping hands toasty, mitts are almost always warmer than gloves. That’s because they enable each finger to share the warmth of all the others. The problem is that it’s pretty difficult to do anything fiddly – like use your phone – if you’re wearing mittens. Which is exactly why Elmer deliver these refined technical gloves with touchscreen compatible fingers, plus a genius tuck-away mitten hood. The hood offers added wind and rain resistance when the weather really sets in, but also flaps back and tucks neatly into an elasticated pocket on the back of the hand. This leaves your fingers free to use your phone whether you need to check Google maps, snap a pic for the ‘gram or film your latest viral TikTok video. They’re the perfect mittens for tech-savvy millennials

  • Fusing authentic American heritage with a contemporary Japanese design aesthetic, Elmer Gloves offer truly high-quality handwear.

The brand’s roots go way back to 1893, when a small US company named Elmer Little & Sons was established, appropriately enough, in Gloversville, New York. As you might have guessed from its name, the city was America’s undisputed glove-making capital. Elmer was at the forefront, building an enviable reputation for their superior work and dress gloves, though they also made everything from ski gloves to baseball mitts. The company grew steadily throughout the decades before being eventually acquired by the Japanese Swany Corporation in the 1980s.

Building on Elmer’s legacy of fine craftsmanship, Swany moved the brand into the performance sportswear market, introducing technical fabrics and innovative designs. Today, they’ve gained a cult following among fashionistas and skiers alike. Which means that whether you’re heading out onto city streets or Alpine slopes, with a pair of Elmers, you’re in safe hands.
