      Chambray looks a little like denim, but the plain weave fabric is softer and more breathable – while still being tough as old boots. It's ideal for workwear, and chambray shirts were a staple of the US Navy right up to the Second World War. In fact, that's where the CPO shirt gets its name, since this style of work shirt was originally issued to Chief Petty Officers. Fast-forward a few years, and this modern version has all the rugged quality you'd expect from storied heritage brand, Filson. The garment-washed fabric is durable yet lightweight, and the pleated shoulders give you loads of room for movement. It's comfy straight out of the box, but the more you wear it, the softer and better-looking it'll get. Now all you need is an anchor tattoo and a can of spinach
