Job Description

We're looking for an engaging, driven and highly organised Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our team and help shape the future of online retail.

This is a full-time position. You would be based from our warehouse: Brookgate Trading Estate, Bristol, BS3 2UN


  • Manage all aspects and areas of the warehouse and fulfillment operations
  • This is a working management position. The ideal candidate will be able to balance working in the warehouse, managing warehouse staff members, and completing all other functions of the job
  • Ensure approximately 100 orders per day non-peak and 150 orders per day peak go out on schedule
  • Establish and maintain a rota of pickers - ensuring there is always sufficient warehouse staff to meet demand
  • Maintain a 99.9% or better shipment accuracy rate and work consistently to lower shipping costs by making sure optimal box sizes are used. Perform audits of staff picking and packaging to ensure these standards are met
  • Check arriving deliveries for signs of damage, and check against packing slips to ensure we have received the correct units and quantities. Raise any discrepancies with suppliers (via email)
  • Once checked, load arriving stock into our inventory management system
  • Process customer returns, including checking items for defects, and loading returned items into our inventory management system. Liaise with our Customer Success team regarding any faulty returns
  • Picking and packing orders as required
  • This position is a working manager position based in the warehouse and reports directly to the company Founder, who will work with you setting goals to consistently improve warehouse processes and efficiency

Who we’re looking for

  • 2+ years warehouse/distribution management experience
  • Previous experience with order and inventory management computer software is required
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including strong oral and written articulation skills
  • Extremely detail-orientated; someone who is uncomfortable with even the smallest inconsistency or imperfection
  • Supremely organised with an ability to highlight the key challenges and how to meet them
  • A love of the outdoors

  • A creative problem solver who demonstrates out-of-the-box thinking
  • A proactive and highly motivated team player
  • Must be detail-orientated, deadline-driven, and able to multitask with solid organisational and time-management skills
