Reliable, weatherproof three-person tent for backpackers and wild campers

Not everyone wants gossamer-thin ultralight gear, nor do they want bombproof, expedition-ready kit. No, when it comes to outdoor camping essentials like a tent, most backpackers and wild campers look for a solid, reliable and functional shelter that will guard them from serious weather when it hits, but which is light enough to carry as part of a pack-load, while being durable enough to last for years of adventures. And all, ideally, without breaking the bank. The Lightwave Trek range delivers on all counts. With simple, inner-first pitching, they give outstanding performance in high wind and bad weather. The fabrics and components have been similarly selected for maximum performance and durability, while keeping overall cost in mind. Lastly, the functional yet minimalist design keeps weight at a sensible level.

When New Zealander Carol McDermott first began designing outdoor gear, his main concern was creating lightweight, high-performing kit that would give him an edge in the mountains - you know, the kind of gear without bells and whistles that serious climbers and trekkers crave. So when he founded Lightwave, McDermott didn’t change a thing - and that’s why we love it.
