Heritage quality, modern style

The Surveyor range is a little bit of a departure for Filson. Better known for heritage waxed canvas jackets, heavy mackinaw wool coats and other stuff that wouldn't look out of place in a 1920s lumber camp, this iconic Seattle brand has added a collection of smarter bags designed for city life. This stylish messenger bag is perfect for commuting or travel, and its 14-litre capacity includes a padded pocket for your laptop. Carry it with the grab handle on the top or sling it across your body using the removable padded shoulder strap. And while it might look refined enough for the office, the build quality and materials reflect Filson's long pioneer history. Lightweight and abrasion-resistant, it's constructed in tough nylon Cordura canvas and twill, with a dry wax treatment for water-resistance. The interior is polyester-lined – with a couple of handy organiser pockets and a loop to keep your water bottle upright – while the outside features two zipped cargo pockets with organiser slips inside.

Every Filson product is guaranteed for life against failure or damage in its intended usage.
Over the years, Filson's philosophy has never changed: Make sure it's the absolute best. Clinton Filson spent a lot of time talking to his customers and refining his designs to their specifications. So it's not surprising that the items that worked then still work today, over 120 years later. Comfort, protection and durability never go out of style.
