All-season carbon fibre trekking pole

On the most demanding mountain terrain, a set of poles can help you go faster, further and longer. But to truly maximise performance, you need a pair of carbon fibre poles, which offer superior stiffness and rigidity compared to traditional aluminium alloy poles, at a lower overall weight. Leki’s Sherpa FX Carbon Strong is the brand’s most stable and robust folding pole. Designed for high alpine terrain and winter use with skis, snowshoes or crampons, it has enlarged 20mm diameter upper pole sections to withstand extreme loads. It is equipped with the new Aergon Air grip for even more comfort and control, which combines cavity technology to reduce weight whilst still providing maximum support on the mountain. The back of the grip has been completely rubberized for optimum control in cold conditions, and extended grips enable you to choke down during steep ascending switchbacks. The pole is equipped with a trekking basket but also includes a larger snow basket for winter use.

  • Large-diameter PRC1000 carbon fibre pole sections designed for extreme loads
  • Z-folding 3-section design with compact folded length
  • Fitted with Aergon Air grip and extended handle
  • Vario on-the-move adjustment system enables extremely fast length adjustment from 120 to 140cm, even whilst wearing thick gloves in rain, ice and snow

  • ELD [external locking device] for stability and safety – a push button releases the pole tension
  • High-performance internal tensioning cable encased in a durable PE jacket for lifelong fibre protection, with lower segment spring to ensure optimum tension and automatic cable length compensation
  • Special inner aluminium sleeves protect the carbon fibre pole sections and ensure a perfect inter-segment connection
