True one-offs, made to last

Chance meetings, fleeting moments, lucky breaks – they’re all part of the journey. Life is random, unique and special. And these lovingly made recycled wool blankets are the perfect reminder of that. Why? Because each one is uniquely crafted from left-over wool. Scraps and remnants from other Atlantic Blankets are scooped up and recycled back into these classic patterned blankets, ensuring each one is different to the next. Brown, red, orange, purple, blue and bright yarns all go in the mix, creating a one-off blanket with a traditional heavyweight feel. Coarser and sturdier than the brand’s other blankets, they’re sustainably made and built to last – perfect for wrapping up against a Cornish sea breeze or snuggling up by the fire.

  • Uniquely crafted from left-over wool scraps and remnants
  • Each blanket uses random colours in a classic pattern
  • Made in Britain
  • Traditional heavyweight feel with coarser, sturdier yarns
Size Weight
Standard 120 x 150 cm 900 g
Large 150 x 183 cm 1100 g
  • Ethically Sourced Materials - This blanket is made with 100% recycled wool.
  • Manufactured Locally - Atlantic Blankets make all of their blankets right here in Britain.
  • Sustainability Through Longevity - Atlantic Blankets has forged long-term relations with the UK’s leading mills and makers. These are master craftspersons producing slowly-woven works of stunning quality.

Sustainability and the sea often seem to go hand in hand. Which makes perfect sense – after all, it’s hard to ignore plastic pollution if you see discarded bottles and tangled nylon fishing nets washed up on the beach every day.

That’s why Atlantic Blankets do things differently. This independent, family-run brand is Cornish through and through. Their luxuriously soft collection of blankets and throws are inspired by the ocean and tailor-made for coastal living. But they’re also traditionally woven in England using sustainably sourced, natural fibres, including British wool and recycled cotton. Cosy, comfortable and eco-conscious, these are blankets for those who feel close to the coast in mind, body or spirit.

Our natural wool blankets are best looked after with these simple steps -

  • Shake - give your blanket a good shake outside to remove loose fibres, dirt and dust.
  • Air - airing your blanket outside can help to keep it smelling fresh.
  • Spot clean - to remove stains, use warm water and mild detergent to spot clean as soon as possible.
  • Gently hand wash, or machine wash at 20ºC on a gentle wool cycle, both using a wool friendly detergent.
  • Rinse and spin on the lowest setting. Press excess water out, reshape whilst damp. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat, away from direct sunlight.
