Reversible bomber with two entirely different personalities

Two jackets in one, and with seriously different vibes. Wear it one way and you've got a classic khaki bomber, blanket-lined for warmth, with a utilitarian washed cotton shell that looks worn in from the get-go. Flip it inside out and everything changes: the deep burgundy wool-mix shell is striped like a boating blazer, with the kind of old-school tattoo flash floral artwork that used to live on the backs of touring jackets. Reversible jackets often don't quite 'work' both ways, but this one genuinely does – whichever side you're rocking, it looks meant to be worn that way.

  • Relaxed, oversized bomber fit, fully reversible
  • Embroidered artwork on both sides
  • Lower snap-button welt pockets
  • Storm guard placket with zip closure
  • Rib knit collar, hem and cuffs
  • Cotton outershell, wool-mix reverse
  • Heavy enzyme stonewash finish
  • Shell: 100% Recycled Cotton
  • Lining: 100% Polyester
  • Rib: 60% Acrylic, 25% Wool, 12% Polyester, 3% Elastane

What do you get when you cross a legendary surfwear entrepreneur with a serious motorcycle addiction and a healthy disregard for tribal boundaries? Well, you get Deus ex Machina – the brand that's been proving since 2006 that there's no rule saying you can't love both the roar of a café racer and the whisper of a perfect barrel.

Founded by Dare Jennings (he of iconic surf brand Mambo), Deus started life as a custom motorbike workshop and coffee house in the Sydney suburb of Camperdown. The radical idea? Instead of shoehorning people into outdoor tribes – bikers, surfers, skaters, cyclists or whatever – why not just celebrate whatever gets you fired up? Their workshop soon transformed into a 'run-what-you-brung' social and creative space, known locally as the 'Temple of Enthusiasm'.

From those early days of engine oil, freshly brewed coffee and dawn raids on the Pacific Ocean, Deus has grown into a global phenomenon. Their clothing captures that same anything-goes spirit – sun-bleached graphics that look like they've survived their fair share of backroad adventures, vintage-inspired cuts that work equally well on the beach or in the workshop, and a lived-in aesthetic that's catnip to the adventurous. Because at the end of the day, whether you're into one particular outdoor activity or all of them – as Deus would say, 'it's all the same juice'.
