What is it about hoodies?
There's a version of this garment that pills and shrinks after a handful of washes, ending up in the chazzer bag long before its time. The Filson Northwest Hoodie is not that version. The 8.1-oz. fleece is a 70/30 cotton-polyester blend – the polyester keeping shrinkage in check and adding durability to what would otherwise be a flimsier, shorter-lived fabric. The double-layered hood has real structure and warmth to it, the ribbed cuffs and hem are cotton and elastane so they spring back wash after wash, and the kangaroo pocket will keep those mitts toasty. The kind of hoodie that ends up under a bodywarmer on the hillside and over a tee in the pub on the same day.
