Conventional mid-layers are built the same way clothing has been built for generations: fabric is woven, cut into panels, and those panels are stitched together. Every stitch is a weak point; every cut creates offcut waste; and the resulting seams sit against the skin, adding bulk and potential irritation under a shell. Houdini's Airweb Knit technology changes all of that. The Lykan Half Zip is knitted in one seamless piece using Shima-Seiki Wholegarment 3D technology – a process that eliminates seams entirely, creates zero production waste, and results in a garment that truly feels like an extension of the body. The yarn is Japanese Teijin Waveron and Deltapeak: a unique combination that creates an open-knit structure with lofty, insulating air pockets and exceptional moisture transport. The fabric is 100% recycled and recyclable polyester, fully circular at end of life. - Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
