Extra-tough folding poles for long-distance treks

Folding trekking poles often come with a bit of a trade-off compared to telescopic models. They're much quicker to set up and collapse down, but you normally have to buy them at a fixed length. These Leki Khumbu FX TA poles offer the best of both worlds, coupling a collapsible push-button design with a single Speed Lock length adjuster. This gives you 20cm of adjustment, which should be plenty to help you tailor the pole length to the ascents or descents. The handles use Leki's Cor-Tec rubberised cork blend for a grippy, tactile feel, while an ergonomic design suits a range of hand positions. Built in tough HTS 6.5 aluminium, they're a little heavier than other folding models, but what you get in return is a seriously durable pole that won't let you down on demanding long-distance routes.
