Sleep in the lap of luxury

For years, we dismissed camping pillows as a frivolous luxury: unnecessary extra weight when wild camping or backpacking. Then we tried the NEMO Fillo pillow and were instant converts. The Fillo Luxury takes comfort to new heights, employing a combination of a baffled air cell, thick luxury foam, a soft, washable microsuede or jersey cover, and an ergonomic valve. The result is soft and snuggly, and though it feels big when cradling your head, it packs surprisingly small. This version also has shock cord lacing on the underside of the pillow to hold some spare clothing, giving you additional loft – ideal for side-sleepers with broad shoulders. The integrated stuff sack is about the size of a grapefruit, making this a light and packable option for any adventure. That includes camping trips, but we’ve also taken ours on long-haul flights, road trips, and even used it as lumbar support for long days in the office.

The idea of NEMO was born one turbulent night on the side of Mount Washington while Cam Brensinger spent a sleepless five hours in a poorly designed bivy. That night he realised how much opportunity there was for thoughtful design as part of the equation of enjoying adventure. And, coming down off the mountain the next day, he resolved to tackle that challenge. Three days after graduation from Rhode Island School of Design, he founded NEMO Equipment.
