16-foot expedition kayak for long trips and lively waters

While some of Oru’s other folding kayaks are aimed at the flat-water paddler, the Coast XT is an altogether more rugged beast. It’s got the portability of an inflatable paired with the handling and safety of a rigid kayak, and it’s built to handle the chop and surf of coastal conditions. Adjustable foot and backrests, thigh braces and a closed cockpit help you lock into position and control the kayak in livelier waters. At 16 feet, the Coast XT is a long-distance cruiser with seagoing specs, while its carrying capacity of 180 kilos gives you loads of room for camping kit or fishing gear. Here’s to you, Ahab…

Lightweight and extraordinarily strong, Oru Kayak boats are created from 5mm double-layered, custom-extruded polypropylene with a 10-year UV treatment. Which makes them puncture and abrasion resistant, and built to last. With proper care, they can withstand sliding over rocks, bumping into obstacles, and folding up tens of thousands of times.

The trouble with boating is the effort it takes to get on and off the water, with all the hassle of roof racks, trailers, garages, lifting, pumping and rigging. Oru’s extraordinary folding kayaks strip away all of that. Wildly popular with city-slickers, van-lifers and everyone in-between, they pack down to the size of a small suitcase and with some models you can be on the water in less than five minutes.
