Where will the weekend take you?

At Filson, they like to call a spade a spade. Which is not surprising for a brand that's spent well over a century equipping no-nonsense types like lumberjacks, gold prospectors and Alaskan hunters. So yes, the 48-hour duffel is ideal as a weekend travel bag – but it also makes a fantastic work satchel, tool bag or general everyday workhorse. It's constructed in Filson's famous 14oz oil-finish tin cloth, which is weather-resistant and insanely durable. The lining is 6oz dry-finish cover cloth, and the top-grade bridle leather handles are long enough to sling over your shoulder. There's a dedicated webbing shoulder strap too, which is adjustable and removable for streamlined travel. The 34.5-litre capacity is spread across a roomy main compartment and external zip pockets with organiser slips, while the luggage pass-through strap lets you pop it on top of a wheely suitcase if you're heading overseas.

They believe in their products and stand by the quality of workmanship, craftsmanship and materials in each one. Over the years, Filson's philosophy has never changed: Make sure it's the absolute best. Clinton Filson spent a lot of time talking to his customers and refining his designs to their specifications. So it's not surprising that the items that worked then still work today, over 120 years later. Comfort, protection and durability never go out of style.
